Karen Wydler was artist in residence at Discover Hannahs at Seale-Hayne that was once the only purpose built agricultural college in the UK. Surrounded by 90 acres of land, it operated from 1919-2005, and had a particular association with the Land Girls and Women’s Land Army during the War years. It is now run by a Trust which provides education, therapy, care and respite for children and young people with profound physical disabilities.

Karen worked with the archivist and former students to engage the present users (currently 1,000) of Hannahs and other visitors with its farming heritage. Karen’s work often works towards a physical goal and physical structure.
